Any time you register a domain name, you are required to provide valid contact information for the owner of the domain. This information is published and made publically available in the "WHOIS" database. Anyone can look there to see who owns the domain and to contact the domain owner if necessary.
Private Domain Registration, or WHOIS Masking, or contact privacy, is a service offered by some domain registrars where they will either (a) not publish the domain owner’s contact details, or will (b) publish "masked" details — i.e. details that point to anonymous names and addresses at the registrar.

One of our most requested features of late has been to support the "auto-completion" of email addresses when users are entering To, Cc, and Bcc addresses into email messages. While LuxSci has always had an address "picker" where users could choose addresses from their address books via a small pop-up window, that required a click to activate, some effort to search for the addresses, and then a click to close.
Users really wanted suggestions from their address books automatically presented to them, as happens in most modern email programs such as Outlook and Thunderbird, in a way that doesn’t require them to click or "do anything" and where selecting from the list could be as easy as pressing a single key.

Internet service providers Global Crossing and Hurricane Electric shut down the San Jose, CA, web hosting provider "McColo" on Tuesday after it was determined that the ISP was aiding criminals in the sending of Spam, perpetrating online fraud, and providing access to child pornography. McColo was used by some of the most active and prolific spammers in the world; the suspension of its services has resulted in a 75% decrease in spam, worldwide!

LuxSci has made its maintenance window and service status information much more transparent and accessible to its users. Previously, this information was simply posted to a blog on the members’ "welcome page". Now the existance of important information is made visible to users on the welcome page, account administration page, and in the support tickets tool.

There are many reasons why users or administrators might want to have their email data exported and saved to CD or DVD. These include:
- Creation of permanent archives
- Preserving old email that is no longer actively needed, but which should be kept

All users of Spam Quarantine Reports for our Email Guard and Email Defense Premium Email Filtering service will have the ability, beginning December 8th, to modify the appearance of the columns in these reports. This will allows you to customize the information presented and thus make it more useful and/or succinct.
